Desi Carson:

Desi's journey into Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access, and Social Justice (‘IDEAS’) work formally began in middle school when volunteerism in numerous community programs became a central part of her life. From local food drives to teaching soccer to special needs students, she consistently saw the need for more hope, compassion, kindness, and love in the world.

Desi infuses IDEAS principles into every facet of her work including creating large-scale community events, holding queer-friendly talk spaces on college campuses, operating anonymous mental health hotlines, speaking at conferences and on panels examining the role of intersectionality in advancing IDEAS, and directing multiple sports at the Special Olympics.

Desi now holds the position of Director of Programs and Partnerships at IDEAS Generation as well as the title of Business Manager for PsychoHairapy. At IDEAS Generation, Desi leads the design and implementation of the organizations’ leadership and community development programs designed to connect, support, and elevate the next generation of IDEAS leaders. She also spearheads the organizations efforts to forge mutually beneficial partnerships with other IDEAS-minded leaders and organizations to scale collective impact.

Rachel Rudo Munyaradzi:

Rachel is a change management expert, seamlessly engineering transformational changes working with C-Suite executives in companies and nonprofits. Coach Burns
Coach Burns attended Rubidoux High School where he was a three-year varsity football starter as running back and defensive back. He then went on to further his athletic career at the University of Southern California as a defensive back. Coach Burns made the transition to coaching, beginning at Beverly Hills High School, and later moved on to coach at Bishop Amat High School for six years. He then went on to coach at the University of Florida and advanced to the NFL as the assistant defensive line/special teams’ coach for the Washington Redskins where he coached Hall of Famers Bruce Smith, Darrell Green, and Champ Bailey. Burns has also coached for the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Texas Southern University, and University of Texas at El Paso, UFL Sacramento Lions, East/West Shrine Game, and Texas vs The Nation All Star Game.

Coach Burns strives to develop and coach a brand of football that brings honor and glory to God at an extremely competitive level that will produce championship caliber results. He enjoys the ability to coach in an environment that allows an open love for the Lord and considers his development of young men on and off the field as a blessing. Coach Burns has three children: Lorenzo (LC class of 2016), Simeon (LC class of 17), and Jailyn Burns (class of 2020).

Lorenzo Burns
Lorenzo Burns attended Linfield Christian High School in Temecula, Calif. where he was a three-time captain and finished his career with 166 tackles, 26 passes defensed, five interceptions and two fumble recoveries. He also ran track and won the CIF Division 4 triple jump championship. He attended the University of Arizona where he played in 42 games with 40 starts in five seasons (2016-20). Burns finished his career at Arizona with 192 total tackles (142 solo), nine interceptions, 35 passes defensed and eight tackles for loss. In his final two seasons as a Wildcat, Burns was a Pac-12 honorable mention and, in 2019, he was voted as the team defensive MVP. Burns, 5-10, 183, signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent at the conclusion of the 2021 draft. Lorenzo Burns was claimed off waivers and then signed with The Jacksonville Jaguars and played this season.
